Are you committed?I recently placed a doctor for a fabulous role with an amazing client that ticks all the boxes for both parties. Things are progressing well, agreement signed and paperwork process on the way! Then I find out now that they are still hunting for another job elsewhere 🤔 Where is the commitment? Commitment is very important and vital in any role. It tells about a person's character and attitude. You have an obligation to the job offer you accepted from the practice. Please talk and be open and transparent to your representing consultant, should circumstances change. Here to help. It will do wonders to your reputation as well. Have you experienced this before? How would you have handled it?

What would you do?Following on from my post last week, I had a doctor recently placed a request on relocating to Australia wanting to be closer to the city. This is a popular request, like everyone else of course. They wanted either 2-3 hours from Sydney or Melbourne or 1 hour from Perth 🫣 Why is that? It’s ok to be further away in the eastern states compared to WA? 🤯I want to take this time to ask, if you choose, planned, or considering to relocate to Australia from overseas or live locally and want to move to another state to continue your career as a GP, where would you be? Cast your vote now ✏️ Love to hear your opinion in the comments section below too!👇🏼

"WHY NOT WESTERN AUSTRALIA?"I have been communicating with numerous Specialist International GPs since the start of this year, as there has been a substantial numbers wanting to relocate to Australia. They reached out to me on Whatsapp, LinkedIn and via email. But when asked the question of their preferred location or let's arrange a VC to discuss more about WA, they are adamant to decide that they want NSW, Vic or Qld. WA is never or lowest of their preferences and first to go in their decision making, even though they have never been to Australia before at all!WA as a location has many benefits to offer:🌟 Greatest number of sunshine 70% of the year 😎 - no need for Daylight Saving! 🌟 Mediterranean climate, not too hot or cold - avg. yearly temp 21ºC 🌞 🌟 Affordable housing🏡 🌟 Not overly populated - Only 29.5 million human beings 👨👩👧👦 🌟 Closer to many countries like the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Pakistan, etc with similar time zones that many still call home with family & relatives thereI hear candidates' requirements of work-life balance and good earning potential. Then why not WA? Why crowd yourself in a place with more competition and challenges, ending up getting stressed out and where's the work-life balance there?I myself grew up in Melbourne and have chosen to call Perth home now for the last 10 years, and never regretted the decision made to settle here and bring my children up. WA has plenty to offer. Give it the chance it deserves. If you don't like it after a couple of years, you can always relocate over east. But I can assure you would be the minority as many choose to call WA home...even many UK doctors have 😉 They just love the sunshine here! Avg. 8.8 hours per day here VS the highest 4.9 hours per day in the UK. No brainer!

👉 Attention VR GPs ‼️Are you a GP that has recently obtained your fellowship qualification from the royal college and specialist registration from AHPRA but still under moratorium and wants to live closer to the city? YES ✅ 👇Come to Perth 🙌 I have a number of DPA replacements north and south of the river that can get you a provider number exemption permanently. No need to worry about the expiration of the provider number you get!You may be bounded by the moratorium, but being a VR GP, there’s still the opportunity to live in metro 😊Why wait? Contact me 🤙 for more info today, as these DPA replacement provider numbers are highly sought after and the provision is not valid for long!🙋🏻♀️ Adelene Chew 📞 0430 037 389📧adelene.chew@dxcmedical.com.au#DPAReplacement #19AB #Moratorium #Perth #VRGP #DXCMedicalRecruitment

What a wonderful day! Did a road trip today with my colleague Melissa Irvine down south to the Peel Region in WA and had the opportunity to visit a number of lovely well-established practices in 📍Pinjarra and 📍Mandurah ❤️ Fabulous locations for GPs to work with great busy practices - collegiate team, spacious treatment rooms, comfortable waiting areas and large consult rooms with windows!Started the day with a quick caffeine ☕️ fix at the local Pinjarra Bakery - fabulous coffee! And delicious pastries for our clients of course ☺️Managed to also catch up with Dr. Sameer irshad a specialist international GP who recently relocated from Abu Dhabi before he heads off to start work in the Southwest region in Busselton and Dunsborough 👍🏼 We thoroughly enjoyed our fish and chips lunch at Mandurah Foreshore 😋If you are a local VR GP in WA or interstate or Specialist International GP from the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada or Malaysia looking to work in a well-established busy practice with ample support in the Peel region, do get in touch with me 👇🏼📞: +61475 885 433📧: adelene.chew@dxcmedical.com.au#DXCMedical #PeelRegion #Pinjarra #Mandurah

If you DON'T LIKE beautiful beaches; encountering the cute smiley Quokka on Rottnest Island; scenic views, hikes and nature; plenty of good wine; desirable climate with gorgeous sunsets and plenty of sunshine, then WA is not right for you 😉
