Where are the experimental weapons in Generation Zero? ›

Experimental weapons can be obtained a few different ways. They can be given by killing the Reaper, Generation Zero's only boss, killing Rivals, completing Base Assault missions at hostile controlled Control Points, and Base Defense missions at Control Points you own.

Hunters can be damaged when shot in the head, but higher classes are more resilient due to armor. The boxes located in the "shoulders" on the left and right of the head can be shot multiple times, depending on the level of armor to shred it and expose the components.

The Pansarvärnsgevär is a one hit sniper rifle, that can kill prototype and military runner class machines in one shot. It's commonly recommended to obtain and use the experimental Pvg variant, since it has double the damage and penetration making it a suitable weapon for long ranged encounters.

As you continue to play the game, you'll find 4 and 5 crown tiered DLC weapons and accessories among your loot. You can't share your DLC weapons/tactical equipment with other co-op members if they didn't buy the specific DLCs, but you can use them yourself in your co-op sessions with them.

It is very advisable that the shield emitters be taken out first. Absolutely no damage to the Reaper can occur whilst the shield is up, so they are best dealt with by waiting for the shield to go down and then shooting them with AP ammunition. The best weapon of choice for this is the Experimental PVG.
