Is it safe to print sensitive documents at UPS? ›

UPS. While UPS is a collection of franchises, the parent company UPS Store says in its privacy policy it can store the contents of your printed documents. It doesn't use that information for marketing or advertising without user permission, said company spokeswoman Casey Sorrell.

Start by choosing "File" and then "Print," and clicking the "Position and Size" settings. Usually, the default option is "Scale to Fit Media," which prints to the page margins. Deselect it, then manually enter scale, height and width values that equal the full size of your paper.

The UPS Store offers a wide variety of printing and finishing services, including electronic file access (e.g., e-mails, CDs, USB drives), color and black-and-white digital printing, black-and-white copies, binding, collating and laminating.

That said, there is no foolproof way to print private documents at work. Consult HR or your supervisor on the right course of action if it's a sensitive work-related document. And if it's a non-work-related document… just print it at home on your personal printer.

Paper Type: Choose the appropriate paper type: “Printing Preferences” - “Paper Type” and look for options like “Cardstock,” “Heavy Paper,” or “Thick Paper.” The printer will adjust its settings for thicker paper. Quality Settings: Select a higher print-quality setting.

Most modern printers will be able to print with card, but there may be weight and thickness limitations that you'll need to be aware of before printing. Choosing Cardstock: Make sure you choose card that is compatible with your printer. Consider factors like thickness, finish (matte/glossy) and colour.

Print a single email

If there are multiple emails within the same conversation, you can print just one of those emails. On your computer, go to Gmail. Open the email you want to print. Click Print.

Email your documents to staples@printme.com and look out for a confirmation email. While in store, head to a self-service printer. Select Print, then Email on the touch screen. Enter or scan your 8-digit confirmation barcode from your email and print.

Laser printers use a very high amount of power and can easily overload your UPS. Overloads of this type can damage your UPS. As such we ask that you do not plug laser printers in to the battery backed outlets of the UPS.
